The longest estuary in Germany is a popular sailing area. You can watch the hustle and bustle on the water wonderfully. Not far away is the tranquil town of Kappeln with restaurants and shops. Here you will find a real rarity: Europe's last herring fence. Every year on the Ascension Day weekend, the herring days are celebrated in Kappeln - a great experience for locals and guests. Highlights included: final cleaning, usage-based additional costs, WLAN Activities nearby: The Schlei Nature Park with its fascinating flora and fauna extends around Olpenitz. The beautiful nature is best explored on hikes, walks and bike tours.
